The brilliance of light, a star in a vast human constellation
he was
now obscured from the blur of mortal sight, not gone
now only dimmer by distance from us, but still
there
look to the night sky, for the faintest flicker of an infant star
watch; as in time, it will grow brighter
as in our collective hearts he will never fade
no one is ever truly gone from those whose lives he has touched
as our friend we will always remember him
